Microsoft Azure

The cloud platform I have worked with the most.

A practical Microsoft Azure knowledge area: products, architecture decisions, official documentation, certifications and tests that reveal what you actually know.

Last reviewed · 13 July 2026

Azure has been the central cloud platform in my work. This area brings together what I use in practice, what a solutions architect should be able to evaluate, and structured ways to verify whether the knowledge really holds up.

The content is independent and is not official Microsoft exam material. Product names, certifications and exam objectives change, so the pages consistently point to Microsoft Learn as the authoritative source.

Principles for this area

Architecture over product lists

The point is not to remember the most service names, but to understand which capabilities and trade-offs make a service right for a particular solution.

Identity as the control plane

Microsoft Entra, workload identities, RBAC, Conditional Access and governance are central because identity connects the platform.

Learning through verification

The tests are designed to expose gaps in understanding and point to official documentation, not merely produce a score.
