YouTube channels for AI development
A curated selection of official channels, conference content and independent creators covering agentic development, Codex, Claude Code and AI engineering.
Last reviewed · 13 July 2026
YouTube is useful because agentic development often needs to be seen in practice: how context is selected, how an agent is corrected, which tools it calls and where the workflow breaks. At the same time, products change faster than many videos can be updated. Check the date, version and official documentation before copying configuration or security decisions.
Official channels and technical communities
Use these for product launches, documented workflows and talks from the people building the platforms.
OpenAI
The official channel for launches, technical presentations, developer demos and conversations with OpenAI teams.
Primary OpenAI source · YouTube ↗ANClaude · Claude Code · safety · researchAnthropic
Official presentations about Claude, agentic coding, safety, model behaviour and Anthropic's developer platform.
Primary Claude source · YouTube ↗AEConferences · production · agent systemsAI Engineer
Technical conference talks from engineers, researchers and product builders—a strong source of experience from real AI systems.
Depth and breadth · YouTube ↗DLCourses · foundations · practical systemsDeepLearning.AI
Structured explanations and short courses on language models, RAG, agents, evaluation and AI engineering.
Educational starting point · YouTube ↗LCLangGraph · agent architecture · evalsLangChain
Framework-specific, but valuable for patterns around stateful agents, tracing, evaluation, tools and production operations.
Vendor channel · YouTube ↗Independent creators
Follow several perspectives. Creators are strongest as explanation and inspiration; verify product details against official documentation.
Andrej Karpathy
Long, code-based explanations of neural networks, tokenisation and language models. The best place to understand what sits beneath agent tools.
Foundations · YouTube ↗SWLLM tools · security · practical useSimon Willison
Sober technical analysis of models, coding agents, prompt injection, tools and what actually works in practice.
Low hype · YouTube ↗IDClaude Code · context engineering · subagentsIndyDevDan
Long practical walkthroughs of specification-driven development, skills, hooks, subagents and Claude Code workflows.
Agentic coding · YouTube ↗CMAI agents · workflows · integrationsCole Medin
Builds complete agent systems and shows architecture, tools and integrations—useful for seeing the whole system in context.
End-to-end building · YouTube ↗DEAI engineering · production · workflowsDave Ebbelaar
Practical and relatively measured walkthroughs of agent design, structured output, evaluation and the path from demo to production.
Production perspective · YouTube ↗AJAI applications · agents · emerging toolsAI Jason
Rapid exploration of new models, agent frameworks and product patterns with concrete demonstrations.
Experimentation · YouTube ↗FSRapid overviews · developer toolsFireship
Very short introductions to new AI and developer tools. Useful for orientation, but use deeper sources before making technical decisions.
Rapid orientation · YouTube ↗How the channels were selected
- Technical substance over pure product reactions
- Shows code, workflow, architecture or measurable results
- Covers failures, constraints and security—not only the happy path
- Has a clear role: primary source, foundations, production or practical experimentation
